The National Experimental Theatre Kujtim Spahivogli is a new theatre in Tirana created in 2014 by a government decision in order to present all types of contemporary arts, replacing the Comedy Theatre and occupying the same building. This theatre will present the full range of innovative works and new concepts and techniques in stage production. It houses the Experimental Theatre for Children, and for Youth, the School of Experimental Theatre, and the Oratory School. The Experimental Theatre is part of the National Theatre. It was named for the People’s Artist Kujtim Spahivogli who created and directed the Youth Theatre in the former Arts Institute.
