Buna River

The Buna River originates from Lake Shkodra and flows into the Adriatic Sea. It is the only river in Albania that forms a true natural delta. In its delta is the island of Ada, which divides the river into two outflowing branches.

The Buna is known for its rich ecosystem and its importance as one of the three main bird migration corridors in Europe. The region is an important destination for birdwatchers, naturalists and tourists.
