Following the implementation of the THEMA project, the institution of the Prefect of the Gjirokastra District together with other partners of this cross-border initiative, carried out the second round of the study visit to the Gjirokastra district with the aim of promoting cultural and tourist identities through technologies for the development of thematic routes in the cross-border region of Greece-Albania. The THEMA project partners (Epirus SA, National Tourism Agency of Albania, Center for Regional Cooperation and Development QZHR, Prefect of the Gjirokastra Region, and the Hotel Association of the Ioannina District) visited a number of agribusiness enterprises in the Përmet area, the Nivica Castle and the village of Golëm, realizing the tourist potential that these places have to offer in the name of their natural and cultural heritage. The THEMA project, whose main partner is the Epirus Development Agency, is co-financed by the European Union and by the national funds of the countries participating in the "INTERREG IPA II Cross-Border Cooperation "Greece-Albania 2014-2020".
