Velipoja Beach is a beach located on the coast of the plain of the same name, on the left side of the Buna River mouth, 22 km southwest of the city of Shkodra, in Albania. The sea is shallow and the depth increases gradually. The climate in the area is mild. The warmest month is July, when the average temperature is 29 ° C, and the coldest is January, with 4 ° C.
Velipoja is one of the largest sandy beaches in Albania. With a long coastline of fine sand, this beach is very suitable for families and children, as the sea has a gentle depth. Visitors often enjoy long walks by the sea, beach games such as volleyball or football, while in the summer light water sports are also offered.
