Lake Shkodra located on the border between Albania and Montenegro, is the largest lake in the entire Balkans, with an area of about 370 km². Its green scenery, surrounding mountains, and rich biodiversity make it an attractive destination for visitors and nature explorers.
The lake is fed by numerous springs and rivers, creating a diverse ecosystem that includes species such as carp, eels, and bream. The lake is dotted with small islands that are home to various species of birds.
The traditional villages of Shiroka and Zogaj offer accommodation, gastronomy and a peaceful atmosphere by the lake. Lake Skadar is one of the most important natural and cultural destinations in Albania.
