Black Lake is located about 600 meters northwest of the village of Tejs and southwest of Shullan of Radomirë, in an area known as Zabeli i Madh. It lies at an altitude of over 16030 meters above sea level, on the Lura Crown Mountain, within a large glacial complex.
.The lake is distinguished by its greater depth compared to other glacial lakes of Lura. It features crystal-clear, cold waters and covers an area of approximately 0.8 hectares. During the winter months, the lake freezes completely on the surface.Black Lake is rich in biodiversity and forms a unique alpine lake ecosystem. It holds significant scientific value in terms of geology, hydrology, biology, as well as aesthetic, ecological, educational, and cultural importance.
The lake is surrounded by a dense forest of black pine, and due to its outstanding natural values, it has been designated as a Natural Monument.
