The “Bylis” Theater is the main performing arts institution in Fier and one of the most important cultural centers in the region. Founded in 1971, it has played an important role in the development of the city’s artistic and theatrical life, hosting various performances, premieres and festivals.
The name of the theater, “Bylis”, was chosen in honor of the ancient Illyrian city of the same name, located near Fier and symbolizing the historical and cultural heritage of the area. This name represents the connection between contemporary art and the ancient roots of Illyrian civilization, turning the theater into a meeting point between tradition and modern creativity.
Today, the "Bylis" Theater remains a vibrant space of art and culture, which continues to inspire the public and artists through theatrical performances, concerts and cultural activities, strengthening the role of Fier as an important artistic center in Albania.
