The "Aleksandër Moisiu" Theater is one of the oldest performing arts institutions in the country, opened in 1953 and named in honor of the world-famous actor of Albanian origin, Aleksandër Moisiu.
It is located in the center of Durrës and has played an important role in the development of the city's cultural life, organizing dramas, comedies, concerts and activities for children and young people.
The building has a unique architecture with classical elements and has been restored to improve acoustics and stage conditions.
Today, the theater is an important center for promoting artists and preserving the theatrical tradition of Durrës.
