Traditional clothing of Pogradec

The traditional clothing of the Pogradec area is distinguished by its diversity, both in terms of region, religion, age, economic level, and in terms of the different elements that make it up, colors, decorations, embroidery, ornaments, etc. However, common elements remain visible in all types of clothing. Of these elements, we mention: shirts, sleeves, shirts, shirts, socks, jibuns, scarves, aprons (neças), vests, woolen belts and opingas. It is also worth mentioning the ornaments that accompany these clothes, such as gold, zylyfka, religious flowers, qosteku, paftas, pendants, hairpins, earrings, etc.

Men's clothing in the Rodokal area was characterized by these components: flannel, shirt, vest, anteria or capkenia, hair, socks, belt, qalesha, guna and opingat.

As for women's clothing, its main parts are: shirt, flannel, vest, jacket, apron, woolen belt, socks, opingat, scarf, fez (it was placed under the scarf and tied with a belt), tepa (the upper part made of silver in a cylindrical shape about 5cm surrounded by sequins) and the red jacket. In the clothing of women of Rodokal, decorative elements such as: zylyfka, gold, flowers of fez, qosteku and paftat were also used.
