Wool works

In mountainous areas, wool served as the basic material for the production of clothes and warm objects.
The most famous works are:

  • thick handmade socks,
  • the northern turqs,
  • swaddles (thick blankets),
  • carpets woven on a loom,
  • decorated jackets and vests.

The patterns are mainly geometric and the natural colors came from vegetable dyes, obtained from roots, flowers, and tree bark.
