In mountainous areas, wool served as the basic material for the production of clothes and warm objects.
The most famous works are:
- thick handmade socks,
- the northern turqs,
- swaddles (thick blankets),
- carpets woven on a loom,
- decorated jackets and vests.
The patterns are mainly geometric and the natural colors came from vegetable dyes, obtained from roots, flowers, and tree bark.
