An important event of the largest International Tourism Fair, ITB Berlin 2024, was the official announcement of Albania as the "Country of Honor" of ITB Berlin 2025 (Albania – ITB Berlin 2025 Host Country).
The official agreement was signed in Berlin, at the Albanian stand, by the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, and the CEO of "Messe Berlin", Mario Tobias.
Minister Kumbaro stated that this agreement crowned the long work and serious commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment to present Albania's tourism potential in important international tourism activities.
This agreement strengthens Albania's role at the participant level and in the organization of high-level agendas of important global events such as ITB Berlin, which promote Albania's image internationally. It also foresees a one-year promotion program, which ends in March 2025, making our country the epicenter and theme of the most important global tourism and tour operator event held annually in Berlin.
In Berlin, the agreement for the organization of the 70th meeting of the UNWTO Commission for Europe in Tirana, on April 7-9, was also signed by the Minister of Tourism, Mirela Kumbaro, and the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili.
During the Berlin Fair, Albania's tourism potential was presented under the new logo and slogan "Albania All Senses" by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the National Tourism Agency.
Seven municipalities with high tourism potential promoted the natural beauties and unique attractions of their cities, while 26 Albanian tour operators offered tourist packages across Albanian destinations to interested visitors, businesses and agencies.
During the three days of the fair and a multitude of presentations at the stand by the entire representative team, Albania managed to convey to the German capital the country's tourist potential, along with the most beautiful sensations and tastes that this adventure offers to every passionate traveler.
