The trend of foreign tourist flows visiting Albania continues to increase, as the latest data from INSTAT and MTM statistics show that 9 million foreign tourists have entered our country from the beginning of the year until October.
Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, emphasized that this trend exceeds the figures for 2022 by 32%, which is the record year for foreign visitor arrivals in Albania.
According to statistics, in October alone, 691 thousand foreign tourists entered our country, or 89% more compared to October last year.
During the activity held to summarize and achieve the year's tourist season, Minister Kumbaro highlighted that reservations have reached 70-80% of hotel capacities.
According to Ms. Kumbaro, beyond the magic of the coast, Tirana has also become a genuine tourist destination.
In the latest publication of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) World Tourism Barometer, Albania ranks third in the world and first in Europe for the increase in foreign visitor flows (+56%) for the months of January - July 2023.
Even the travel giant "National Geographic" has listed Albania among the 30 most interesting countries in the world that should be visited in 2024.
