The Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Ms. Zana Çela, had a meeting today with Ms. Martina Kasnyik, Ambassador of Hungary to Albania.
Possibilities for further cooperation in the framework of promoting Albanian tourism for Hungarian citizens were at the center of the conversation.
Over 50 Hungarian citizens visited our country during the period January – October 2024, marking a 16% increase compared to the previous year. Improved air connections, tourist packages and accommodation, culture and history, and nature experiences are just some of the reasons for the increase in the number of Hungarian tourists visiting Albania.
AKT General Director Ms. Zana Çela presented to Ambassador Kasnyik the vision of the Albanian government with a focus on year-round tourism until 2030, which will be accompanied by the continuous development of infrastructure and the construction of major works in service of the tourism sector, such as ports and airports.
For her part, the Ambassador of Hungary confirmed the growing interest of Hungarian citizens in visiting Albania not only during the summer season, but also in the winter season.
At the service of Hungarian, international and local tourists, today Albanian tourism has also made available the Digital Events Calendar, TEA.
