At the panel of the third Diaspora Summit, on the topic, “Dynamics of Albanian Tourism: Navigating the challenges and opportunities of the diaspora community for the growth of the tourism brand and economy in Albania”, the Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Zana Çela, among other things, emphasized that Albania’s success in tourism is also the effect of a promotional philosophy of the government, which placed all cultural, sports, diplomatic events in a single calendar of national tourism events. The application of this calendar, TEA, has been the headline of this summer season. “We want to brand Albania as a tourist destination through cultural heritage and multi-art events”, said Director Çela.
In her speech, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, expressed her gratitude for the successful Albanians of the diaspora, who became the best ambassadors for the promotion of Albania's Tourism around the world. "In this entire transformed edifice of Albania's Tourism, the most stable stone is that of the Albanians of the diaspora, from whom Albania gathered the best models in ideas, in investment examples and experiences, creating a good synergy between the two parties, which is in its most prosperous days. Through a contract signed in silence, but with a sincere smile, the Albanians of the Diaspora are without a doubt the most successful "agency" for the international promotion of Albania because there is no marketing slogan that describes a more beautiful place than what the "eyes of the heart" tell us", underlined Minister Kumbaro.
The panel dedicated to tourism was attended by successful Albanians from various countries, including Jonela Hoxhaj from Germany, journalist Arbër Agalliu from Italy, Aina Hoti from Switzerland, Gëzim Olaj, who returned from England and is an investor in the well-known hotel structure in the mountain tourist village of Bogë, Gladiola Dona, an expert in hotel service, and Nikolin Kola, who promotes the best Albanian products.
