Around 800 thousand foreign tourists visited our country in April, bringing the number of incoming tourist flows to 2.3 million during the first months of 2024 or +38% more than a year earlier, stated the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro, during the publication of the latest MTM statistics.
Ms. Kumbaro emphasized that the institution she leads is in intensive coordination and cooperation with public institutions and the private sector to manage the high flows and the smooth running of the summer tourist season, with priority given to safety, cleanliness and increasing service standards for sustainable development.
According to MTM statistics, 794 thousand foreign tourists visited Albania during April 2024, bringing the total number of incoming tourist flows in the first 4 months of the year in our country to more than 2.3 million.
Earlier, at the Tourism Safety Conference, Minister Kumbaro announced the updated figures of certified maritime tour operators, which are over 110, as well as over 600 certified tour guides.
During the first three months of 2024, Albania was visited by over 1,7 million foreign tourists, or 59% more compared to the same period in 2023.
