Cultural similarities between Albania and Azerbaijan can play a key role in increasing visitor exchange. To this end, the Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Ms. Zana Çela, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Albania, H.E. Anar Hüseynov.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the very good prospects that Albania has for tourism and for the work done to promote it. Ambassador Huseynov also emphasized the success achieved in the upcoming presentation of Albania as a country of honor at the ITB Berlin Fair.
Talking about increasing cooperation in tourism between Albania and Azerbaijan, Ambassador Huseynov said: "We want Albania to be the new destination for tourists from Azerbaijan. Also, Albanian visitors may be attracted by what Azerbaijan offers."
The Director of AKT introduced the Ambassador to the work, commitment and role of the National Tourism Agency in promoting the image of Albania as a tourist destination.
The meeting discussed concrete proposals for the promotion and development of tourism in both countries.
