The National Tourism Agency organized an information tour for the Dutch delegation of Transavia, including the CEO of Transavia Airline, Mr. Marcel De Nooijer, as well as Dutch tour operators and journalists, who visited Albania on April 15-17, 2024, starting with the start of direct flights Amsterdam-Tirana-Amsterdam.
On the first day in Tirana, a reception for the delegation was organized at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador to Albania, Mr. Reinout Vos, which was attended by the Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Ms. Zana Çela.
On the second day, through the program and suggestions of the National Tourism Agency, accompanied by the staff of the National Tourism Agency and the professional guide Mr. Olsi Lafe, the Dutch delegation visited the main attractions of Tirana and then continued with a tour of the Belshi lakes, a Mediterranean wonder of the Dumre area, a visit to the UNESCO city of Berat, which surprised visitors with its centuries-old magic. The Mangalem neighborhood, the “Onufri” Museum, the Berat Castle, the beautiful cobblestone streets, the “Çobo” Cantina where they were introduced to its history and philosophy and enjoyed a special experience of Albanian cuisine, were the places that the delegation visited in the city of “One on One Windows”.
In Vlora, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the mayor himself, Mr. Ermal Dredha, who expressed his pleasure that Vlora was also selected for this tour. The walk to the island of Zvërnec, along the coastline of Vlora, where investment in infrastructure is strongly felt, and the conclusion of this journey with the thousand-year-old Durrës where the Venetian Tower and the Durrës Amphitheater were visited, were just a few highlights of a visit, the effects of which are being translated into an increase in the interest of Dutch visitors to visit Albania.
