Osum Canyon is one of the most unique natural attractions in Albania, located south of the city of Çorovodë. This river canyon stretches along the Osum River and is known for its vertical limestone walls, stunning waterfalls and magnificent natural formations. Its length reaches up to 26 kilometers, with a width that varies from 4 to 35 meters and a depth that goes up to 80 meters. Shapes such as the “Cathedral”, the “Eye” and the “Devil’s Door” are some of the most famous formations that can be seen during an excursion to the canyon.
During the spring, when the water level rises from the melting snow, the canyon offers opportunities for rafting. The rapids are classified as Category II, meaning that no prior experience is required to navigate them by canoe or raft.
