The Rrushkull Natural Park/Managed Nature Reserve is one of the most important and protected coastal habitats in Albania, located in the Sukthi area near Durrës. With an area of about 650 hectares, the area includes typical Mediterranean and alluvial forests, wetlands, as well as the estuary of the Erzen River, creating a mosaic of rich and distinct natural ecosystems.
Rrushkulli is an ideal destination for nature lovers, especially for bird watching, as the area is known as “Important Bird Area” (IBA) and is home to a large variety of waterfowl and other wildlife species.
Beyond biodiversity, the reserve lies close to the coast and offers beautiful natural scenery, with forest areas, wetlands and quiet areas for shiking, nature photography and relaxation away from the noise of the city.
