Lake Shebenik

Lake Shebenik is located in the Shebenik–Jabllanicë National Park, in eastern Albania, near the border with North Macedonia. It is a glacial lake located at an altitude of over 1,200 meters above sea level and constitutes one of the best-preserved pearls of Albanian mountainous nature.

The clear waters, alpine landscape and tranquility of the area make this an ideal place for ecotourism, nature photography, mountain hiking and picnics. In the summer, the lake reflects the light of the surrounding mountains, while in the winter it partially freezes, creating rare natural views.

Lake Shebenik has been declared a Natural Monument for its hydrological, ecological and aesthetic values, as part of the protected ecosystem of the park. It contributes to the preservation of the region's biodiversity and is a growing destination for sustainable tourism and alpine exploration.
