National Museum of Archaeology

The National Archaeological Museum, located in Tirana, was founded in 1948, under the name of the Ethnographic-Archaeological Museum. Currently, it is the center where most of the archaeological wealth in the country is displayed.

The museum has around 18 objects, which belong to different historical periods. Over 2000 objects are exhibited in its three pavilions, including sculptures and small objects, which belong to the Stone Age, and even objects dating back to the era of the Turkish occupation.
