One of the most famous areas for the production of authentic Albanian red wine is precisely Kallmeti, in the Lezha region. This area has a centuries-old tradition in the cultivation of indigenous vines and is widely known for Kallmet Wine, which is produced from the original Albanian grape variety “Kallmet”. The mild climate, limestone soil and the long experience of the winegrowers give the wine a special aroma, full structure and characteristic ruby color.
Visits to the area's wineries are an experience in themselves: visitors can explore the vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and participate in tasting sessions that reveal the authentic flavors of Albanian wine.
