Lezha Castle

Lezha Castle is located on a hill that rises above the city of Lezha and represents one of the most important historical monuments of northern Albania. It has Illyrian origins, but was rebuilt and fortified in the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

The castle has had a special strategic importance, while today it offers panoramic views over the Zadrima plain, the Drin River and the city of Lezha. Within its walls, visitors can explore the historical ruins and experience the atmosphere of one of the most symbolic locations for Albanian national history.
