4-day tour to Saranda

Day 1
Arrival at Tirana International Airport "Mother Teresa".
After arrival, rent a car from one of the many operators located near the airport.

Then, head towards the southern city of Saranda. The journey takes about 3 hours. Along the way, you can stop for a “take & go” coffee or relax at one of the many bars located along the route.

Once you enter the territory of the Municipality of Saranda, you will have several tourist destinations that you must visit. But first, let's stay in one of the hotels in the area, which offer very good hospitality service.

Once you are settled, I invite you to have lunch at one of the many restaurants that the city of Saranda offers. You can choose to enjoy traditional Albanian food, seafood or modern cuisine, as the city offers all of these. You can also choose the location of the restaurant: by the sea or with a view from above over the city and the Ionian Sea.

Afterwards, you can spend a pleasant evening strolling along the seafront on the city promenade. This area offers many bars and restaurants, where you can dine or enjoy a drink by the sea.

Day 2
Breakfast in the city of Saranda finds you enjoying a coffee or tea by the Ionian Sea.

Then, I suggest you visit Butrint and Blue Eye, assets protected by UNESCO. Butrint is a journey back in time, where you will learn about the ancient history of Albania, see the amphitheater and many other archaeological sites.

Blue eye, on the other hand, is a very beautiful natural destination, which is characterized by water that springs from underground, creating a fascinating blue appearance, from which it takes its name. You can dive into the crystal clear waters of Blue Eyes, but you have to be careful as the water is very cold. However, it is an experience worth trying.

In this area you can also enjoy a lunch of traditional Albanian cuisine, explore the surrounding nature and admire the diverse flora and fauna. The area is also very beautiful for photography.

Afterwards, return to Saranda and continue exploring the city. Another archaeological site worth visiting is the old town of Onhezm and the old synagogueYou can also visit other cultural spots such as: Monastery of 40 Saints, Lëkurës Castle, St. Mary's Monastery in Kakome, Monastery of Saint Kolli etc.

Day 3
The third day in Saranda coincides with Mussel Festival, a unique celebration that brings together cuisine, tradition and culture in a spectacle with artistic and cultural activities, live concerts, exhibitions and traditional performances.

We invite you to go to Ksamil and enjoy this celebration up close, which takes place on May 30–31.

In Ksamil you will also find many beaches with crystal clear waters. The beaches that you should definitely visit are without a doubt: the three islands of Ksamil, which are easily accessible by small boats or even by swimming. You can also visit Mirror Beach, The cave of Pigeons, Tree e Thate, Monastery Beach etc.

Ksamil also offers restaurants, bars, guesthouses, and nightlife, which you can experience and enjoy with your loved ones.

Day 4
For the fourth and final day in Saranda, we suggest a boat trip. The boat has an itinerary that takes you through virgin beaches with crystal clear waters, which are only accessible by sea, such as: Kakome Bay, Krorez Beach etc.

After completing your boat trip, return to Saranda, where you will prepare for your return to Mother Teresa Airport.
