2-Day Tour to Përmet

During this 2-day tour, you will have the opportunity to explore one of the most unique and authentic regions of Southern Albania — Përmet, otherwise known as the city of roses. The Vjosa River, the last wild river in Europe and protected by UNESCO, accompanies the journey with magnificent landscapes, while the history and tradition of this region leave their mark. The Përmet Museum, the Congress Lapidary and the City Stone testify to the cultural depth of the area, while the Bënjës Baths with their healing thermal waters, the Langarica Canyon with its impressive rock walls and the Kadiu Bridge over the Langarica River offer an untouched and extraordinary nature. The village of Frashëri and the Frashëri Brothers Museum House lead you to the beginnings of the Albanian nation, while the Hotova-Dangëll National Park, with its dense fir forests and diverse fauna, concludes the experience with the grandeur of the mountain nature. 2-day itinerary in Përmet


Day 1

Arrival at Tirana International Airport “Mother Teresa”. Upon arrival, rent a car from the many operators located near the airport and head towards the town of Përmet. The journey takes about 3 hours, following the road along the Vjosa River valley, which accompanies you with wonderful natural views throughout the route. Along the way, you can stop for a “take & go” coffee or relax in one of the many bars along the route.

Once you arrive in Përmet, stay in one of the guesthouses or hotels in the area, which offer good hospitality and the hospitality characteristic of the city of roses. Once you've settled in and taken a short break from the road, it's time to explore the heart of the city. Start with a visit to Përmet Museum, which preserves objects, documents and artifacts that testify to the rich history of the area over the centuries, from ancient periods to modern times. The museum is an excellent starting point for understanding the cultural and historical depth of this region.

After visiting the museum, continue your walk through the city and pass by Lapidart of the Përmet Congress, one of the most important historical symbols of the city, which commemorates decisive events in Albanian national history. Don't miss it either The City Stone, one of the most characteristic and recognizable signs of Përmet, which serves as a landmark and symbol of local identity.

In the evening, sit down at one of the city's many restaurants and enjoy traditional local dishes. Përmet is known for its rich and authentic cuisine, where you can try traditional dishes such as chicken prepared according to local recipes, as well as the characteristic sweets of the area, which are part of the culinary heritage of this southern Albanian region.


Day 2

Breakfast in Përmet finds you amidst the tranquility and fresh mountain air. After you have consumed your breakfast and coffee, set off to explore the natural and cultural treasures of the area, which make Përmet one of the most special destinations of Albanian tourism.

Start the day with a visit to Benja Baths (Benja Baths), one of the most precious natural treasures of the Përmet district. Here you will find thermal water springs with healing properties, surrounded by a green and peaceful nature. You can relax in the thermal waters and enjoy the unique atmosphere that this area offers, ideal for moments of relaxation, as well as for photography and walking.

On the way to Benja, don't miss it Kadi's Bridge, a historic bridge located on the picturesque banks of the Langaricë River. The bridge offers beautiful views and is an important cultural point of the area, combining history with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.

After Bënja, continue your exploration with one of Përmet's greatest natural beauties — Langarica CanyonThis unique geological formation is characterized by high and narrow rock walls, which create an impressive landscape. The canyon is rich in plant and animal biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers, photography and hiking in mountainous terrain.

On the way back to Përmet, stop by National Park "Bredhi i Hotovës - Dangëlli", one of the largest and richest natural parks in Albania, with dense fir forests, diverse fauna and mountain landscapes that will leave you speechless. At the end of the day, return to the city to prepare and begin the return journey to Mother Teresa International Airport.
