Albania was visited by around 974 thousand foreign tourists during May 2024, bringing the total number of incoming tourist flows in the first five months of the year to more than 3.3 million.
While publishing the new statistics, Minister of Tourism Mirela Kumbaro emphasized that as the peak of the coastal tourist season approaches, institutional responsibility and attention to presenting the best of the Albanian tourist offer increases under the slogan "Albania All Senses".
Ms. Kumbaro underlined that "in May of this year, 38% more foreign tourists visited our country than a year ago, bringing the number of tourists we have welcomed in these five months to 3.3 million, and as the peak of the coastal tourist season approaches, we strengthen all institutional attention and the spirit of hospitality to present the best of "AlbaniaAllSenses".
Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro is continuing her tour of inspections in coastal municipalities with the aim of monitoring compliance with and respect for standards, cleanliness, public spaces and safety in tourism.
