Welcome to “Wanderlust in Albania” the First International Photo and Video Reels Competition organized by the National Tourism Agency.
Tonight marks an important occasion, because as we gather to present the winners of this visual competition, we simultaneously celebrate the success of Albania's tourism, through the lens of those who know how to explore the wonders of our country.
In a world where statistics and official statements can be viewed with skepticism, – this time we thought of promoting Albania as a tourist destination through the most authentic storytellers, – the visitors themselves. Through photos and video reels sent in by these visitors from all over the globe, tonight we will showcase an unfiltered, visually documented story of our Tourist Albania.
The camera lenses will be witnesses, the tourists the narrators, and the beauty of Albania the undeniable protagonist of this captivating visual story.
It took only ten days for thousands of photos and video reels to flood in from 41 countries around the world, from the corners of the globe to the heart of Europe, the region, from China, India, Australia, Japan, Jordan, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, the islands of Mauritius.
All of them have been collected on the “Wanderlust in Albania” page, from where the International Jury of the competition selected the best 300 photos and 100 video reels. Their images accompany us throughout tonight, let's see which ones will receive awards.
