From November 22 to 25, the General Director of the National Tourism Agency, Zana Çela, participated in the "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" Fair in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Fourth Edition of the Fair opened with an official ceremony, a regional activity that aims to strengthen cooperation between Balkan countries and create an important platform for promoting wine producers and the region's enogastronomic potential.
The opening of the fair was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Andis Salla, the Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Ms. Zana Çela, and the Ambassador of Albania in Belgrade, Mr. Bardhyl Canaj, who closely followed the institutional representation and promotion of Albania's tourism offer.
The "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" fair is a good opportunity not only to promote Albanian wineries, but also to expand regional cooperation towards international markets.
During the fair, the Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Ms. Zana Çela, held meetings with Ms. Marija Labović, Director of the National Tourism Organization, and the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Serbia, Ms. Višnja Rakić.
Based on the cooperation protocol, the discussion focused on promoting joint offers, especially for distant markets such as China and America, as well as on organizing events.
During the days of the Fair, Ms. Çela met with Albanian wine producers participating in the event.
In a strong competition among 880 wine champions, Kabernelo Rezerva Cuvee 2019 from @fabakantina was awarded the National Trophy.
While Estia Shesh i Zi 2024 from Kantina Arianiti won the Best Rosé trophy.
Among over 600 exhibitors, Albania was worthily represented by our wineries, which presented their products to international visitors and partners.
Local producers expressed pride in the achievements.
During the days of the fair, Petrit Çobo from Kantina Çobo indicated that participation has been very fruitful, as he has held important meetings with international importers from Canada, Singapore and England.
Evalt Domi, enologist at Cantina Duka, also said that importers from the region and Central Europe have shown interest in indigenous Albanian products, such as Sheshi i Bardhë and Sheshi i Zi.
This year, at the "Wine Vision" Fair in Belgrade, at the joint stand with Serbia and North Macedonia, we presented our tourist offer, from natural destinations to cultural heritage treasures and our artisanal craftsmanship.
At the working tables, artisanal experiences were exchanged between the three countries, emphasizing the importance of preserving traditions and intangible heritage.
Meanwhile, the Folk Song and Dance Ensemble brought the energy and rhythm of our culture, making Albania's presentation even more special.
Along with the AKT staff, the Ensemble's artists and directors, as well as craftswoman Edlira Sulaj, also contributed.
Many media outlets have shown interest in the development of Albanian tourism over the last two years.
