The National Experimental Theatre Kujtim Spahivogli is a new theater in Tirana created in 2014 by a government decision in order to present all types of contemporary arts, replacing the Comedy Theater and occupying the same building. This theater will present the full range of innovative works and new concepts and techniques in stage production. It houses the Experimental Theater for Children, and for Youth, the School of Experimental Theatre, and the Oratory School. The Experimental Theater is part of the National Theatre. It was named for the People's Artist Kujtim Spahivogli who created and directed the Youth Theater in the former Arts Institute.
