TEA – Tourism Events of Albania – was born in the summer of 2023 as a visionary initiative of the Albanian Government, with the direct support of the Prime Minister of Albania. The initial goal was clear: to create a national calendar of tourism events that would promote Albania as an attractive destination throughout the year, highlighting not only natural beauties, but also cultural heritage, art, gastronomy and authentic Albanian hospitality.
In just a few months since its launch, TEA reached over 40,000 downloads in 72 countries around the world, attracting international attention and becoming one of the most innovative digital tools in the region for promoting tourism.
The first version of the application brought for the first time a unique platform where every tourist, local or foreign, could discover in real time the events taking place in every corner of Albania.
Thanks to the interactive map, users could search for activities by city, date or category (culture, music, sports, crafts, gastronomy, etc.), connecting directly with local life and Albanian traditions.
The first version of TEA laid the foundations of a digital bridge connecting tourists with local communities.
