The Benja Baths, located near the city of Përmet, represent one of the most popular natural and tourist destinations in southern Albania. They are located along the Lengarica River, at the entrance to the Lengarica Canyon, and are known for their natural thermal springs, rich in minerals. The Benja thermal waters have an average temperature of around 23–28°C and are traditionally known for their curative properties, especially in the treatment of rheumatic, skin and musculoskeletal diseases.
In addition to their health importance, the Benja Baths also have special natural and cultural values. The area is characterized by an impressive mountain landscape, deep canyons and crystal clear waters, while near the springs there is an old stone bridge from the Ottoman period, which adds historical value to this place. Today, the Benja Baths are an important tourist attraction, attracting local and foreign visitors.
