The Pirogosh Tunnels, just 3 km from Çorovoda, near the Gradec Canyon, represent a real historical underground city built during the dictatorship. These tunnels were used to store large quantities of weapons, enough that the state could once stay at war for over six months in case of a crisis. Today they are offered as a unique experience for visitors – a combination of mystery, history, and adventure, where you can explore galleries, numerous tunnels, and trace the traces of the dark past.
