Pie of Has

It is a traditional dish that, since ancient times, symbolized Has. The dough is prepared with flour, salt and water, and after it is boiled, the cakes are cut, opened with atllagi (thinner) and smeared only with mazë and t'lyn (butter). Then, they are collected with bez (nape) in the shape of a tube and placed on a baking sheet in a circular shape. This procedure is continued with all the cakes, and after the baking sheet is filled, it is cut into small triangles and then baked.

This dish is often used on occasions of family celebrations and joys, and in some cases it is also served as a dessert, by adding sherbet. In the Has tradition, if guests were not served pie, it was considered that they had not been welcomed well, making this dish a symbol of hospitality and respect for visitors.
