The Korab-Koritnik Nature Park covers a total area of 55,550.2 hectares, of which 34886.8 hectares are in the Kukës region and 20,663.4 hectares in the Dibra region.
The main part of the park consists of pastures and meadows, followed by forests and woodland vegetation, unproductive areas, agricultural land, as well as urban and mixed-use areas combining agriculture and forest. In the Dibra district, the park spans seven administrative units. The Kala e Dodës Administrative Unit occupies the largest area, followed by Melan, Maqellarë, Sllovë, and so on, with Tomin being the smallest unit within the park. The peaks of Mount Korab, the highest in Albania, are aligned in a row and possess extraordinary natural beauty.
The ridges consist of limestone and gypsum formations, covered with herbaceous plants and alpine pastures that bloom with various flowers and greenery during spring and summer. The park also features cold water springs, waterfalls, natural and artificial lakes, and evergreen forests, providing excellent opportunities for mountain tourism in all seasons.
Highlights of the park include Doda Castle, the peak of Mount Korab, alpine pastures, the Grama area with its meadows, and karst lakes surrounded by green pine and fir trees. Visitors can enjoy clean air, fresh and tasty water, and high-quality livestock products, including meat and dairy. The park is also home to 17 designated natural monuments.
