Danja Castle

Danja Castle is a medieval fortification located on a hill overlooking the Zadrima plain. Its ruins show the architecture and military strategy of the time, being a surveillance point for the control of the territory. Visitors can see the thick walls and the remains of the towers, while the view over the surrounding area offers a historical and panoramic perspective of the region. The castle was declared a Cultural Monument in March 1948 and belongs to the medieval period as part of a fortification system of the Shkodra Valley and the Drini Valley.
