St. Mary's Monastery in Kakome is an important cultural and religious monument, located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Ionian coast, about 10 km south of the city of Saranda, near the beach of Kakomesa. This monastery is a unique example of Albanian religious architecture, with a history dating back to the 16th-17th centuries.
