Lord Byron Square

Lord Byron Square, located in the historic center of the city of Tepelena, constitutes one of the most representative spaces of the urban and cultural identity of the area. Named in honor of the British poet Lord Byron, who visited Tepelena in 1809 and was received in the city castle by Ali Pasha Tepelena, this square serves as a symbol of the historical connections between Albanian and European culture.
