The Church of Saint Demetrius was declared a cultural monument on September 25, 2007, by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports. This church was built in 1892 by local masons using stones and lime mortar, and it features Byzantine architecture. Its roof has a wooden structure covered with stone slabs, while the ceiling is decorated with frescoes. The Church of Saint Demetrius has a simple quadrangular plan. Surrounding it are the old graves of the Christian inhabitants of the area. The roof was reconstructed in 2007 and is in good condition. The perimeter walls show no cracks or inclinations.The church is located in the village of Kërçisht and can be visited via the Peshkopi–Maqellarë–Kërçisht road.
