Ali's Aqueduct in Bënçë is one of the most important and rare hydrotechnical works that still preserves traces of the period of the Pasha of Ioannina, a stone testimony of the organization and public enterprises of that time. The construction dates back to the late 18th century and early 19th century, during the time when Ali Pasha undertook a series of infrastructural works in southern Albania.
