The Church of the Transfiguration was declared a cultural monument on May 30, 1970 by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This church is located in the village of Herbel, Maqellarë Administrative Unit, about 1.5 kilometers east of the Peshkopi-Tirana highway. It was built before the Turkish invasion, with a simple three-sided technique. The construction technique is artisanal, Byzantine culture, early medieval period.
