Church of the Nativity of Saint Mary

The Church of the "Nativity of Saint Mary" in Vokopola is a cultural attraction with particular importance for local history and identity.

This late Ottoman church, where the National Flag for the Berat Region was raised on November 30, 1912, is among the monuments that are honored. It has a rectangular shape, three naves, aisles and is built of white and gray stones, bound with mortar, having windows on three sides and a side entrance. The exterior decoration and maintenance are simple, while the interior retains its historical character, with a semicircular apse (hexagonal outside), stone floors and structures that reflect the traditional building style.
