Opened in July 2th, 2018, "ArTurbina" is a multifunctional art center, a modern art space dedicated to cultural and artistic life of the capital, Tirana.
It is called Turbina, (ArTurbina) because of the origin of this building. It used to be a Hydro Turbine Laboratory during the communist regime. After the regime collapsed this building degraded and became a garbage bin in one of the most beautiful areas of Tirana, close to Big Park and Artificial Lake.
The new theater has two stages, one with 400 seats and the other with 150 seats. The building offers the best technology for stage performances and shows. There are also spaces for exhibitions, where young and international artists will present their work.
