In the coastal city of Durrës, one of the most important visual art spaces operates, the “Nikolet Vasia” Art Gallery, which bears the name of one of the most famous figures of Durrës art. The gallery is part of the city’s cultural institutions and has been reconstructed to host numerous art exhibitions, becoming a vibrant center for contemporary creativity.
In April 2025, the “Nikolet Vasia” Gallery opened the “Spring” exhibition, which included about 71 works of art, paintings and sculptures by artists of different generations. The exhibition brought to attention the energy, colors and symbolism of spring, bringing together young creators and experienced artists.
The gallery is oriented towards promoting artists from Durrës and all of Albania, but also towards collaborations with international authors. Through its exhibitions, it offers a broad overview of contemporary art and local artistic tradition, creating a bridge between heritage and artistic innovation.
