BUNK'ART 2 is a museum and historical installation located in the center of Tirana, which offers a journey into the period of communist dictatorship in Albania, with a special focus on the role of the Ministry of Interior, the surveillance system and the state control apparatus.
Housed inside an anti-nuclear bunker built in the late 80s, the museum consists of underground corridors and rooms that present documents, authentic objects, State Security equipment, as well as multimedia installations that help visitors understand the mechanisms of political persecution and life under isolation.
The exhibition addresses topics such as the persecution of political opponents, the system of internment and prisons, the monitoring of civil society, and the functioning of internal security structures. Through a chronological presentation and contemporary interpretation, BUNK'ART 2 aims to stimulate reflection on one of the most difficult chapters of Albanian history and contribute to the preservation of collective memory.
