The Shkodra Art Gallery is a cultural institution under the Municipality of Shkodra, established to collect, conserve and exhibit works of visual art. Its mission is to promote artistic creativity and foster cultural development through exhibitions and activities that connect the public with art.
The gallery has two exhibition halls, where temporary exhibitions and presentations of permanent collections alternate. This makes it a lively and dynamic space for artistic activities, where local and national artists participate.
In collaboration with the National Gallery of Arts, 113 works by 76 authors were exhibited at the Shkodra Art Gallery, as part of the cycle of traveling exhibitions of Albanian visual art. This project aims to promote national art and educate the public through familiarization with important works of art history in the country.
Thanks to this function, this gallery serves today as an important center for the development and promotion of visual arts in northern Albania, strengthening the connection between the community and artistic creators.
