Edward Lear Art Gallery

The Edward Lear Art Gallery is one of the most important cultural spaces in the city of Berat, dedicated to the development and promotion of visual arts at a local and national level. Located in a city with a rich historical and architectural heritage, the gallery harmoniously combines contemporary art with the rich artistic tradition that characterizes Berat.

The gallery is named after the British traveler, painter and poet Edward Lear, who visited Albania in the 19th century and documented Albanian landscapes and cities, including Berat, with his paintings. This symbolic name connects today's art with the country's cultural heritage and with the figures who have made Albania known to the world through art.

The gallery hosts various exhibitions of painting, sculpture and visual art, presenting the works of local, national and international artists. It offers an open space for artistic collaborations, workshops, personal and collective exhibitions, turning the city of Berat into an important meeting point for artistic creativity.
