The National Calendar of Cultural, Traditional, Sports, Arts and Heritage Tourism Events is at the center of attention of the national media. TEA, the tourism events app, thousands of downloads in the first days
After a teasing campaign announcing its arrival, without revealing what it would be, TEA arrived and amazed everyone. The first (and only for now) application created for the first calendar of tourism events in Albania, has attracted the interest and curiosity of tourists since its first days. A clear indicator of this is the first thousands of downloads in a very short time. This good news was shared yesterday on Rudina Magjistari's program by the director of the National Tourism Agency, Zana Çela.
The performance of the application promises a very optimistic scenario and this is shown by the first data. The TEA application, which is available both in the Play Store and the App Store, has so far had 2,632 downloads on Android and 3,267 downloads on iOS, for a total of 5,899 downloads. Of these, 3,578 downloads came from Albania, 450 from Italy, 324 from the United States of America, 314 from Germany and 276 from the United Kingdom. "If we refer to examples of the creation and operation of similar applications, such figures can be achieved on average only within 40 days, while TEA has achieved it in just two weeks", said Çela.
In addition to the numbers, the download map is also interesting. Thus, the app has also been downloaded from countries such as Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Denmark and the Netherlands. This data shows that both domestic and foreign tourists have shown great interest in the cultural events that will be held during the days when they will be on vacation in Albania.
The calendar includes 1,110 different activities and events, divided into 28 categories, of which 10 are main and 18 subcategories. There we find from traditional festivals of coastal villages to national and international events in cities. There are events of agrotourism, culinary, theater, cinema, to multi-art events or various sports, including extreme ones. A multitude of events that are held throughout the year and not just in the summer season.
In addition to nature, mountains, sea and cuisine, thanks to TEA, tourists will also enjoy cultural and artistic events, thus getting the most out of their vacation. Each event within the application will have its own dedicated page with detailed information and users will be notified of their favorite events as their date approaches.
TEA also has several other useful buttons to enhance its users’ experience. With just a tap, the “Location” button will direct them to the event location. The “Calendar” button saves the event to the user’s personal calendar, ensuring that they don’t miss any events due to forgetfulness. And for those who want to share the excitement that tourism events bring, the “Share” button allows users to easily spread the word to their friends and family.
