The National Tourism Agency participated in the 29th International Tirana Fair, the largest business fair in Albania, where it presented Albania’s potential in sustainable year-round tourism, through its stand and various panels, on December 6 to 9 2023.

On the first day, was held the panel on strategic investments, where the General Director of the National Tourism Agency, Zana Çela, presented the National Calendar of Tourism, Culture, Sports Events and the TEA application as well as the International Photo and Video Reels Competition “Wanderlust in Albania” ”, which documents Touristic Albania seen from the eyes of hundreds of photographers and travel enthusiasts. 

During the fair, were discussed the developments of sustainable tourism in Albania and the challenges and opportunities for which the tourism experts emphasized that the increasing trend of the flow of visitors in Albania should be combined with long-term visions of the treatment of cultural and natural areas in order to protect and present them better in the future.

In the various panels organized during the four days of the fair, where the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Environment, Almira Xhembulla, the President of the Association of Albanian Hoteliers Zak Topuzi and Tourism experts such as the archaeologist Dr. Olsi Lafe, Head of the Albanian Ornithological Society Taulant Bino and Elton Çaushi, Founder of Albanian Trip, brought innovative ideas on the professional development of human resources in the tourism and hospitality sector, where professionals such as the founder of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Gladiola Dona and the Director of Hotel Tourism Flutura Vaqarri School.

AKT’s stand at the fair was visited by curious citizens, professionals, tour operators from the region, as well as tourists mainly interested in information and different tourist guides.

Also, the organization of a fun activity “Happy Hour” with local products in cooperation with the Association of Albanian Tourist Restaurants, where random visitors also joined, was one of the pleasant moments at our stand, during which were exchanged  opinions on the progress of tourism
