Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced the official figure of foreign visitors who chose Albania in 2024. There are a full 11,7 million foreign visitors or 15.2% more than in 2023.

In a joint post with the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, the Head of Government states that this makes 2024 another record year and proves that Albania is not simply a curiosity of the moment, but has finally paved its way to sustainable growth in numbers, to the creation of a serious and diversified offer, as well as to the provision of unique experiences in all its tastes and sensations.

"The consolidation of Western European markets such as Italy, Germany, France, Spain or Britain, in addition to growth from countries in the region and the approach of visitors from distant Asian and American markets, coupled with the extraordinary impact on the economy such as the 3,8 billion euros generated by tourism in just 9 months of 2024 or the increase in the standards of accommodation structures are the best indicators of the vision that is becoming reality, the prestigious promotion and the good experiences created year after year," writes Prime Minister Rama.
